Who is United Nigeria Airlines?
United Nigeria Airlines was set up in 2020 and made its first flight, Lagos to Enugu, on 12 February 2021. Its base is Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, and Abuja and Lagos are its other main airports. It is an IATA member and passed the IATA safety audit (IOSA).
In October 2026 the airline said it had 10 aircraft: Embraer ERJ-145 and E190 jets, Bombardier CRJ900s and, since June 2026, Boeing 737-800s. It has announced plans for routes to New York, Dubai, Jeddah, the UK and more West African cities, but none of these had started by October 2026.
