Who is Virgin Atlantic?

Virgin Atlantic was founded in 1984 and is based at London Heathrow. It has been a member of SkyTeam since 2023 and runs a transatlantic joint venture with Delta, Air France and KLM, so the Lagos flight also connects to the United States.

It started flying to Lagos in July 2001. It does not fly to Abuja.

  • At Lagos, Virgin Atlantic's check-in desks open 4 hours and close 2 hours before departure, and Virgin advises arriving 4 hours early. While Terminal 1 is rebuilt, international departures check in at the temporary departure hall next to Terminal 2.
